Weekend On Call Caregiver

**This is a per diem role for weekend on-call caregiving. If called or not the caregiver will make a base of $50/day. The caregiver will also get paid an additional $2 per hour of their base rate if called to shift.**

Job Summary
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Caregivers to provide essential support to individuals in need of assistance with daily living activities. As an on-call Caregiver, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the quality of life for our clients by delivering personalized care and companionship in place of their ongoing caregiver. This position requires a nurturing attitude, strong communication skills, the ability to perform various caregiving tasks effectively, and the flexibility to be at a shift within an hour of being called.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.
• Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance the well-being of clients.
• Help clients with mobility needs, including lifting and transferring them safely.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients by performing light housekeeping tasks.
• Support clients in engaging with their community through social activities and outings.
• Document care provided and report any changes in client condition to appropriate personnel.
• Be available to be on-call and be at shift within an hour of being called.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals, family members, and other caregivers to ensure comprehensive care.

Experience

• Previous experience in caregiving or direct support roles is preferred but not required; training will be provided.
• Familiarity with nursing home settings or home community care is advantageous.
• Basic knowledge of first aid procedures is a plus.
• Skills in cooking nutritious meals for clients are beneficial.
• A background in social work or nursing can enhance your effectiveness in this role.
