Visiting Angels is a leading non-medical home care agency. Our caregivers provide assistance to our senior population by helping with activities of daily living. Our services allow our clients to remain safe in the comfort of their own homes. We service Somerset and Middlesex Counties and prefer for the applicant to live in this area.

As Executive Director, you will have total autonomy to run this business. Even though this agency has been in the market for years, it is still considered a “start-up” due to its size. You will be responsible for all aspects, including marketing, taking lead calls, booking new client assessments, signing up clients at their homes, hiring caregivers, filing paperwork, and/or anything else that needs to be accomplished. Responsibilities include:

1. Operational Leadership:

- Oversee day-to-day operations, including staffing, scheduling, client services, and caregiver management.

- Maintain active credentialing with NJ Board of Nursing, Commission on Accreditation of Home Care (CAHC), Veterans Administration and all other relevant organizations.

- Perform on-call responsibilities (be available to respond to a text or call after hours and within 30 minutes).

2. Client Satisfaction:

- Maintain a high standard of excellence, ensuring the well-being and satisfaction of clients.

- Oversee and assist with conducting in-home client intakes and assessments.

- Address client concerns or issues promptly and effectively.

3. Staff Management and Development:

- Recruit, hire, and onboard new caregivers.

- Provide ongoing support, coaching, and performance feedback to office staff and caregivers to enhance their skills and professionalism.

- Foster a positive and work environment that promotes teamwork, communication, and employee engagement.

4. Business Development and Marketing:

- Identify opportunities for business growth and expansion in the local market.

- Develop and oversee execution of marketing strategies to attract new clients and maintain relationships with referral sources.

- Participate in community outreach activities and networking events to raise awareness of our services.

5. Financial Management:

- Manage budgetary goals and financial performance, including revenue generation, expense control, and profitability.

- Monitor key performance indicators and financial metrics to assess business performance and identify areas for improvement.

  • Maintain regular and predictable attendance to maintain office hours of 8:30am-5pm Monday through Friday and must be "on-call" during off hours via telephone/text.

Compensation Description:

  • Base Pay of $75,000 and bonuses to get up to $100,000 and beyond annual salary

Owner's Note:

This position can be challenging but also extremely rewarding. As mentioned above, you will be working solo but will have the training and support you need to be successful. This position will mirror an entrepreneur’s type of capacity where you will not be micromanaged. You will be the decision maker. So, both the ability to work with others and alone will be needed. The key factor for success is a champion’s personality. This role will interface with clients, families, caregivers, referral sources as you will be the face of the agency. Bonuses are based on growth of service hours you develop, where there is no limit. The starting base pay is $75,000 per year. It would be reasonable to earn over $100,000 annual over a period of time.

The ideal candidate has over 5 years in any or all of the following: business management, marketing/sales, business development, recruiting, hiring, and/or leadership.
