**Job Overview: **
Come join our Nurse Registry, Visiting Angels of Lake County. You choose your own schedule. We have been serving Lake County for over 25 years.
We are seeking compassionate, dependable Homemakers/Companions. We encourage retired RN/LPN to join us. You will be caring one-on-one with clients in their homes or assisted living facilities. We offer 24-hour care, 7 days a week to our clients in Lake County. Full-time, Part-time, PRN available. Days/Evenings/Nights/Overnights/Weekends available. We are a Nurse Registry, so you pick your hours and clients you wish to care for, along with the rate you wish to make per hour for each client. You are your own boss!
**Requirements: **
- Level II Background Check (Conducted in our office at time of interview if you have been previously fingerprinted in the State of Florida)
- Physician's Statement of Good Health from your doctor or an urgent care facility. "Must have the wording "individual is free from communicable diseases."
- Evidence of HIV/AIDs Training - can obtain at site RN CEUs / CEU for Nurses / Free Nursing CEUs $19.99
- AHCA 1-hour Alzheimer's course Go to site: ONE-HOUR TRAINING - DOEA (elderaffairs.org) for this free course
- Copy of your Valid Driver's License (Must be able to drive and have reliable transportation to be a companion)
- Must be able to speak clear English as many clients are hard of hearing
**Responsibilities**
- Engage in light housekeeping duties, linen changes, laundry, as well as meal preparation (Must be able to cook and not just microwave).
- Must be willing and able to drive clients to doctor appointments and/or errands as needed
- Willing to be a companion by going on walks, playing games, or just a good listener
- Demonstrate sensitivity and understanding when working with seniors and individuals with disabilities.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 4 – 70 per week
