Summary
We are seeking a Human Resources Assistant to join our team at Visiting Angels. In this role, you will support our HR Manager in various functions, including talent acquisition and employee relations, ensuring that we continue to attract and retain the best caregivers for our clients. This position requires a person who is energetic, enjoys genuine conversations and working with all types of people and is passionate about Visiting Angels and the work we do.
Responsibilities
- Proactively identify, engage, and build relationships with potential candidates through direct sourcing, networking, and creative recruiting strategies to maintain a steady pipeline of high-quality candidates.
- Build and maintain relationships with healthcare -related schools and colleges, local community businesses, faith-based establishments, and other pertinent recruitment sources.
- Support onboarding processes for new hires, ensuring a smooth transition into the company.
- Maintain employee records and assist with HR documentation.
- Help manage employee benefits.
- Coordinate training and development programs for Caregivers.
- Stay updated on employment labor laws to ensure compliance within the organization.
- Utilize social media platforms for recruitment and employer branding efforts.
- Assists with all aspects of human resource functions and required reporting, discipline, performance evaluations, etc.
- Identify employee training needs and coordinate training resources and track compliance with training standard.
- Maintain professionalism and serve as a strong representative to uphold the business brand, reputation and culture
- Additional projects as assigned.
Requirements
- Proven experience in talent acquisition or human resources support is required.
- Experience in the home care industry is strongly preferred.
- Experience as a caregiver is preferred.
- Strong understanding of employment labor laws and HR best practices.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Familiarity with HR software and tools, such as ADP, is a plus.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- Valid licensed driver and reliable transportation.

Pay: $19.00 - $23.00 per hour
