What are the responsibilities and job description for the Caregiver position at Visiting Angels Tri-Cities and Walla Walla?
Position Overview:
We are seeking a compassionate and reliable caregiver to assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) Experience with dementia care is preferred. The ideal candidate will be able to provide assistance in a warm and friendly environment and will enjoy working as part of a supportive team.
Responsibilities:
- Provide assistance with ADLs, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility.
- Provide companionship and emotional support.
- Assist with medication reminders and other health-related tasks.
- Safe transportation in an elderly-friendly vehicle to appointments and outings.
- Ensure the client's comfort and well-being at all times.
Requirements:
- Must be certified as a Nursing Assistant Certified (NAC) or Home Care Aide (HCA), or have a minimum of 6 months experience in caregiving.
- Experience with dementia care preferred.
- Must be reliable and compassionate with a desire to improve the lives of seniors.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record (for transportation responsibilities).
- Must be available for weekend and overnight shifts.
