Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated In Home Caregiver to provide essential support to individuals in their homes. This role involves assisting with daily living activities, monitoring health conditions, and ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for those in need of care.
Duties
- Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, grooming, and dressing.
- Monitor vital signs and report any changes in health status to appropriate personnel.
- Administer medications as prescribed and ensure compliance with medication schedules.
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and preferences.
- Provide companionship and engage clients in meaningful conversations and activities.
- Assist with mobility and transfers to ensure client safety.
- Support clients with patient monitoring and direct support during daily routines.
- Maintain a clean and organized living space for clients, including light housekeeping tasks.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop personalized care plans.
- Offer hospice care support when necessary, ensuring comfort during end-of-life stages.
Requirements
- Previous experience in home care or group home settings is preferred.
- Knowledge of vital signs monitoring, medication administration, and patient care practices.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with clients and their families.
- Compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others maintain their independence.
- Ability to follow care plans accurately while being attentive to client needs.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Must be able to lift or assist clients as needed while maintaining safety protocols.
- Certification in CPR/First Aid is a plus but not required at the time of hiring.
