What are the responsibilities and job description for the Scheduler position at Visiting Angels?

We are looking for the perfect person to help coordinate schedules for our clients and caregivers. Ideally this person is upbeat, positive, and a real go-getter. This person also needs to be able to adapt to changes easily. You must be a people person and able to work well with people of all ages and backgrounds. This position requires multitasking while working with approx. 100 client schedules 60 caregiver schedules, time off requests, client authorizations and more.

Are you able to :

Plan weekly schedules for employees & clients
Make phone calls to clients or caregivers regarding day-to-day scheduling changes.
Monitor care logs on a daily basis, making appropriate corrections to the system to facilitate accurate processing of payroll and billing.
Communicate with supervisors on staffing demands in coverage areas.
Maintain positive relationships with clients and their families, prospective clients, caregivers, prospective employees, fellow team members and referral sources.
Communicate with Case Managers to utilize client authorized hours.
Fill in for shifts as needed in emergency cases
Ensure clients authorizations are being properly input each month.
Perform general office duties, including but not limited to, word processing, filing, reception and telephone services.
Demonstrate dependability and reliability.
Maintain regular, predictable attendance.

Things you may need :

Associates Degree or higher in Business, Communications, or Human Resources or a comparable combination of education and experience. - Preferred

Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook) applications, scheduling systems and other healthcare industry-related software. - Preferred

Experience in an office setting, preferably in private duty home care or healthcare- Preferred

Ability to remain flexible, resilient, calm and maintain a sense of humor in all situations.

Must be at least 18 years of age

Ability to lawfully work in the U.S.

Pay Range : $16-$18 ( additional on call compensation)

Full Time; 8a-4 : 30p Mon-Fri

Salary : $16 - $18
