The Ideal HR Generalist Assistant Role For Those Who Like To Be The "Go-To"
The Visiting Nurse Association of Ohio is looking for a HR Generalist Assistant to be responsible for providing full range of human resource services to VNAO with a heavy emphasis on HR administration and HR analytics, and policy. The successful HR Generalist Assistant will be a champion and change agent. The role assesses and anticipates HR-related needs. Communicating needs proactively with our HR department, Employee Relations and Business Management teams.
Responsibilities
Principal Responsibilities:

HR Functions
- Responsible for the data integrity/accuracy of information in HR system of record in ADP Workforce Now
- Answer questions on employee benefits, payroll, disability, workers comp and HR policies via Fresh
Desk Ticketing System
- Ensure compliance to employment law and HR policies
- Process unemployment administration and verifications of employment
- Works closely with management and employees to improve employee engagement, work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention
- Performs new hire orientations
- Assist with investigations, counseling, and propose options for consideration
- Promote cross-departmental collaboration and information sharing
- Assist with updating employee information, as needed
- Omission of specific duties does not exclude them from this position if the work is similar, related or a logical assignment for this position
Qualifications
Job Competencies & Minimum Qualifications:
- HS Diploma/GED required; Bachelors preferred; experience accepted as substitute
- 1-3 years of experience in Human Resources
- High attention to detail and ability to exercise sound judgment
- Strong analytical and computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent customer service and organizational skills
- Ability to work on own initiative
