If you are a passionate, compassionate individual eager to make a difference in your community, this could be the perfect opportunity for you!As a Physical Therapist Assistant at VNA of Ohio, you will be an essential member of our care team, working under the direction and supervision of a Licensed Physical Therapist to implement and carry out physical therapy treatment plans. Your role will directly impact patients' rehabilitation, mobility, and overall quality of life.ResponsibilitiesKey Responsibilities :
- Deliver physical therapy treatments, including therapeutic exercises, mechanical traction, massage, and other modalities such as heat, cold, water, and electricity.
- Measure and adjust assistive devices (walkers, crutches, canes, wheelchairs) and provide patients with instructions on their use and care.
- Adjust treatment plans based on patient responses and document any significant changes in patient status, following the guidelines set by the supervising Licensed Physical Therapist.
- Maintain clear and accurate documentation of patient care, progress, and administrative tasks, including reports, schedules, and caseload cards.
- Communicate any concerns regarding treatment progress or changes in patient conditions to the supervising Licensed Physical Therapist.
- Collaborate effectively with the care team and provide compassionate support to patients and families.QualificationsQualifications and Requirements :
- Education : Associate's Degree approved by the American Physical Therapy Association.
- Experience : A minimum of two years of experience as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
- Home care experience preferred
- Licensing / Certifications :
- Valid Physical Therapist Assistant license in the state of Ohio.
- CPR certification.
