The Visiting Nurse Association of Southeast Missouri is seeking a dedicated and compassionate part-time Home Health Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to deliver skilled nursing services to patients in the comfort of their homes. Key Responsibilities
- Assess and evaluate symptoms of diseases and treatment responses.
- Educate patients and their caregivers on self-care practices and answer queries regarding medications, nutrition, disease processes, and activities.
- Administer intravenous and injectable medications as prescribed.
- Perform essential treatments, including wound management and ostomy care.
- Support patients in restoring their independence and communicate any changes in their health status to the physician.
- Proficient in assessing patient symptoms and treatment responses.
- Strong communication abilities to effectively educate patients and caregivers.
- Experience in administering IV and injectable medications.
- Competence in wound management and ostomy care.
- Reliable transportation and ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Ability to read, write, perform simple mathematics, and follow instructions accurately.
- At least one year of home health or nursing experience.
- Valid nursing license in Missouri.
- Must have dependable transportation and proof of automobile insurance.
- Successful completion of pre-employment drug screening and criminal background check is required.
- Not listed on the Employee Disqualification List (EDL).
- Completion of an application with at least two credible business references is necessary.
