Hospice Aide (The Gibson Family Center)
IMPORTANT TO NOTE: THIS IS A PART-TIME POSITION ON THE GIBSON FAMILY CENTER FOR HOSPICE CARE, WITH A GUARANTEED 24 HOURS PER 2 WEEKS. THE SCHEDULE ALTERNATES BETWEEN 12-HOUR DAY SHIFTS (7 AM - 7 PM) ONE WEEK AND 12-HOUR NIGHT SHIFTS (7 PM - 7 AM) THE FOLLOWING WEEK. ADDITIONALLY, THERE IS AN OPPORTUNITY TO CROSS-TRAIN ON OUR HOME HOSPICE TEAM TO PICK UP EXTRA HOURS, AS NEEDED.

As a Home Health Aide (HHA) at The Gibson Family Center for Hospice Care you will be called to care when you’re needed most. As part of our inpatient unit team, you’ll support a full range of patient services to bring comfort and dignity to our patients.
As a Home Health Aide at The Gibson Family Center for Hospice Care, you will:
- Assists with ambulation, range of motion exercises, positioning/turning/transferring according to patient’s abilities, tolerance and preferences according to care plan.
- Provides personal care of patients as established by care plan including bathing, peri-care, shampoo, personal hygiene, dental care, nail care, shaving and assisting with dress as assigned and appropriate.
- Obtain vital signs according to care plan.
- Completes accurate and timely documentation per agency protocol.
Job Requirements:
- Current HHA or CNA licensure.
- Current driver's license, vehicle insurance, and access to a dependable vehicle or public transportation.
- Ability to manage your schedule effectively and efficiently.
- Ability to work in a field setting and to make sound nursing judgements.
- Ability to assess patient needs and formulate individualized patient care plans to meet those needs.
