The VisitPITTSBURGH Public Relations Analytics Intern will gain an understanding of how PR is measured and how to apply trends to maintain an always-on PR approach via the following key tasks :
Essential Functions
Publicity / earned media tracking and reporting
Industry news and global trend monitoring
Drafting recaps for the communications teams monthly news digest, case studies, post-mortem campaign reports, etc.
Shadowing PR team during other misc. daily activities
Skills & Specifications
Detail-oriented, organized and proactive
Strong research and communication skills
Highly interested in gaining insight into data-driven PR and integrated brand strategy
Familiar with digital trends, including within the traditional media landscape, social media and influencer marketing
Experience with Microsoft Suite and PR tracking tools is a plus
Qualifications
Students who are currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program from an accredited college or university and are pursuing the following academic majors or minors are preferred : hospitality, tourism, communications, public relations, marketing, journalism, business, digital marketing, economics or information technology
Availability to work 21 hours per week for 13 weeks
Excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills
