Introduction
Visium Resources has been asked to identify qualified candidates for this Credit Officer position. This position is a direct hire opportunity which is expected to be on-site in Maitland, FL.
Summary
The Credit Officer will perform all aspects of credit analysis to promote loan credit quality. Support lending function through annual review process. Assist Senior Lending Officer (SLO) with portfolio management duties including routine account servicing and maintenance.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
All descriptions have been reviewed to ensure that essential functions, basic duties and the minimal standards required to successfully perform the position have been included. However these duties, responsibilities, and requirements should not be interpreted as all-inclusive. Additional functions and requirements may be assigned by supervisors as deemed appropriate.
1. Perform detailed credit analysis as required to ensure acceptable loan quality and reduce potential for past dues, non-performing loans and charge off.
2. Assist Commercial Lenders with preparation of commercial loan packages for Loan Committee and/or approval process.
3. Monitor the loan maturity report with the SLO to assure all maturing loans are renewed or paid off by the maturity date.
4. Assist Commercial Lenders with portfolio management by handling renewals, modifications and other administrative issues.
5. Monitor the annual review schedule and assist SLO to ensure all loans are reviewed as required by Loan Policy.
6. Work closely with the Loan Operations Department to assist with the timely collection of required financial information and required file documentation.
7. Critically analyze loan recommendations and work with Commercial Lenders to assure the highest standard of underwriting is incorporated into each loan package.
8. Communicate with all bank employees on issues related to credit quality.
9. Active participation in and promotion of the Bank's culture.
10. Support the Commercial Lending team as necessary to allow the team to meet budgeted loan and income goals.
11. Adheres to Federal Banking Regulations including Bank Secrecy Act Compliance.
12. Perform special assignments as required.

Education/Experience:
Bachelor's degree (B. A.) or equivalent; or four to ten years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Computer Skills:
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint, and MS Outlook software.
