What are the responsibilities and job description for the CEDA Maintenance position at Viskase Brand?
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES (include, but not limited to the following):
- Proficient mechanical aptitude and understanding of hand tools
- Basic computer input and output of data
- Proficient blueprint and schematic reading and interpreting
- Mechanical application of math and measurement ability
- Basic use of Micrometers, Calipers and other measuring tools
- Welding, (Mig, Tig, and Stick)
- Strong understanding of Pneumatics
- Proficient mechanical trouble shooting skills
- Basic Electrical application and trouble shooting skills
- Hydraulics
- Fabrication Skills
- Millwright Skills
- Pipe fitting Skills
- Mechanical Design
- Plan and Direct work teams
- Problem Solving skills
- Organizational Skills
- Good Communication skills
- Effectively work in different environments with various tasks, people and responsibilities
- Assist Engineering and Management with project as assigned
- Providing technical support and/or assistance to all areas of operations
- Adhering to all company, customer and regulatory standards to continually improve products and services
- Other Duties as assigned
EDUCATION:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Preferred AS Maintenance Technology
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Preferred 5 years of Industrial Maintenance experience
- Mechanical math application
- Must have very good working knowledge with pneumatic, hydraulic systems
- Able to use a cutting torch and welder
- Must have very good working knowledge material transfer system, (able to rebuild all type of pumps), (bearing, roller, etc.…)
- Must have above average knowledge in electrical and electronic
- Ability to work in a team environment and communicate effectively
- Formal Technical training in maintenance disciplines preferred
- Able to complete work in a timely and accurate manner
- Must be able to pass series of written and practical maintenance aptitude tests

To perform this job successfully and retain employment, employee must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily and maintain a good attendance record. Employee must also be flexible and capable of working overtime either before or after normal starting times and/or weekends or on call.
