What are the responsibilities and job description for the Production Operator position at Viskase Brand?
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:
Extrusion Operator:
- Routinely operates extrusion machines.
- Performs according to establish safety and operating procedures and standards.
- Punctures positions, makes start-ups, and shut-downs.
- Monitors and controls extrusion process.
- Moves viscose drums as needed.
- Operator may train on Fibrous, Nojax, or Both.
Dryer Operator:
- Ties in tubes
- Laces dryers
- Maintains casing standards, size, and moisture
- Weighs and boxes product
- Routinely lifts up to 50 lbs.
- Moves full pallets and sets up new pallets
- Operates computer to enter size changes, codes; etc
- Provides assistance in various operating jobs as the need arises
- Must be capable of driving pallet truck and forklift
- Operates a computer and stretch wraps full pallets of nojax casing
- Performs other jobs as assigned by supervisor
