SAP FI-CO Analyst

OVERVIEW

Viskase a global leader in artificial casings and food packaging is seeking an experienced a Senior SAP FI-CO Business Analyst to join our IT team. This role is crucial in supporting and optimizing our SAP ECC 6.0 system, with a future focus on migrating to SAP S/4HANA. You will work closely with other SAP business analysts and cross-functional teams, particularly in FI (Financial Accounting) and CO (Controlling) modules, while also collaborating on MM (Materials Management) and SD (Sales and Distribution) processes.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:

• Perform as the functional expert for the SAP FI-CO modules (General Ledger, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Asset Accounting, Cost Center Accounting, Profitability Analysis, etc.).
• Collaborate with finance and controlling teams to gather requirements, design solutions, and implement best practices within the FI-CO modules.
• Support and maintain the SAP ECC 6.0 system, ensuring seamless integration with other modules, particularly MM and SD.
• Lead and participate in S/4HANA migration projects, from planning and system preparation to post-migration support.
• Leverage SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) and Datasphere to provide insightful reporting and data-driven decision-making.
• Support financial reporting and closing operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory standards.
• Work with cross-functional teams to ensure inter-module integration and smooth process flows.
• Troubleshoot and resolve SAP-related issues, offering training and support to end users.
• Conduct system testing, including validation and documentation of changes and enhancements.
• Stay current with SAP advancements and proactively recommend system improvements to enhance business operations.

EDUCATION AND REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum 5-7 years of experience as a SAP FI-CO Business Analyst or in a related role.
• Hands-on experience with SAP ECC 6.0 in a manufacturing environment is required.
• Proven expertise in FI-CO processes, including configuration, financial closing, and profitability analysis (CO-PA).
• Experience with S/4HANA migration projects and an understanding of S/4HANA architecture.
• Knowledge of MM and SD integration points with FI-CO.
• Familiarity with SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) and SAP Datasphere for advanced analytics and reporting.
• Strong understanding of finance and controlling processes, including cost center accounting and product costing.
• Excellent communication skills to collaborate with stakeholders across various functions and geographies.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
