The Company's solutions are designed from the ground up based on customer requirements.Job Overview : We are seeking a highly skilled and innovative Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our engineering team, with a focus on the design, development, and optimization of a kiosk. This role requires expertise in mechanical design, motion control, material selection, and problem-solving, particularly within the context of integration of Print Mechanisms and Tablet based controllers.Key Responsibilities : Design & Development : -Lead the design and development of mechanical systems for a kiosk, including printers, cutters, and COTS tablets-Oversee the creation of 3D models, prototypes, and detailed mechanical drawings using CAD software.-Design and improve mechanical components such as rollers, paper handling systems, and drive mechanisms to ensure accuracy and reliability.Systems Integration : -Collaborate with electrical, software, and optical engineers to integrate mechanical components with other subsystems (, electrical motors, sensors, controllers).-Develop and implement assembly processes for print mechanisms, ensuring smooth integration of various system components.Optimization & Testing : -Perform detailed testing and validation of mechanical systems to ensure performance meets specifications and customer requirements.-Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues in prototype or production stages, providing timely solutions for improving efficiency and durability.-Analyze print quality, mechanical reliability, and production yields to improve overall system performance.-Innovation & Continuous Improvement : -Stay current on trends and advancements in print technology, applying innovative solutions to enhance performance and cost-effectiveness.-Lead or participate in design reviews, continuous improvement initiatives, and cross-functional brainstorming sessions to drive innovation in print mechanisms.Documentation & Reporting : -Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation for mechanical designs, including detailed specifications, assembly instructions, and testing protocols.-Prepare regular reports and presentations to communicate progress, challenges, and solutions to stakeholders.Mentoring & Leadership : -Provide mentorship and guidance to junior mechanical engineers, helping to foster a collaborative and innovative engineering environment.-Lead planning, ensuring timelines, budget, and technical requirements are met.Required Qualifications : -Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field (Master's preferred).-Minimum of 7 years of experience in mechanical engineering, with a strong focus on print mechanisms or related fields.-Proficiency in CAD software (, SolidWorks, AutoCAD, CATIA).-In-depth knowledge of motion control systems, mechanical design principles, and material properties.-Hands-on experience with high-precision mechanical systems, and familiarity with printing technologies (, inkjet, laser, thermal printing).-Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage complex mechanical systems and resolve design challenges.-Excellent communication skills, with the ability to formulate concepts and present proposals to the director of engineering.Preferred Qualifications : -Experience with 3D printing, automated assembly processes, or robotics.-Knowledge heat transfer in relation to thermal print heads.-Experience working with oversees suppliers including ODM / CM for product delivery-Familiarity with industry standards for print equipment, quality control, and product certification (, ISO, CE).Personal Attributes : -Strong leadership and communication skills.-Excellent attention to detail, with a focus on delivering high-quality results.-Self-motivated and able to manage multiple tasks and projects effectively.-Collaborative team player with a proactive approach to solving engineering challenges.-Effective at working with the Product Planning to develop clear engineering requirements for the system.
