Business Analyst Opportunity – MDHS SUCCESS Project
Location: 200 Lamar Street, Jackson, MS (On-Site Required)
Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (Occasional weekend work & overtime may be required)
Position Overview
MDHS PMO is seeking a Business Analyst (BA) to join the SUCCESS Project team. The selected candidate will serve as the primary BA, collaborating with business area SMEs and the Design Development Integration (DDI) vendor to drive requirements definition, work backlog management, prioritization, and IT development oversight.
Key Responsibilities
- Gather and define business requirements, manage work backlogs, and set development priorities.
- Oversee software development lifecycle stages: planning, designing, testing, approval, and implementation.
- Develop process maps, data analysis reports, and business documentation.
- Create and maintain user stories for system testing and validation.
- Work closely with Agile teams, participating in SCRUM/Kanban methodologies.
- Communicate effectively with program managers and executives.
Minimum Qualifications
- 7 years of experience in IT development and CI/CD processes.
- 3 years as a Business Analyst and Tester.
- Advanced knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and project management.
- Experience with DevOps, Amazon Web Services (AWS), and JIRA.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with MDHS programs: SNAP, TANF, Child Support, and Child Care systems.
- Familiarity with tracking system defects using JIRA and JAMA.
- Experience leading Agile teams and conducting SCRUM meetings.
