Job Summary
The ERP Data Engineer is responsible for the operation, modification, and maintenance of the ERP environment. This role involves migrating data from the legacy ERP system (Central Square) to the new ERP system (Oracle) and ensuring a productive, collaborative, and equitable user experience.
Responsibilities
- Develop SQL queries and scripts for extracting structured data from a SQL Server database.
- Engage with vendors, subject matter experts, and operational users to define data scopes and requirements.
- Participate in sessions discussing Central Square’s reporting, platform logic, and data structures.
- Collaborate with team members to extract attachments from Central Square and load them into Oracle.
- Perform database engineering and data quality tasks to ensure successful data conversion and migration.
- Follow best practices and standards of data governance and quality.
- Analyze source and target data models to identify logical transformations and mappings.
- Facilitate data movement from source to target systems.
- Coordinate with technical and business SMEs on data validation.
- Assist in creating functional and technical documentation related to Data Architecture.
Qualifications
Required Skills:
- Knowledge of ERP systems and data, especially human capital and financial accounting systems.
- Understanding of Oracle and MS SQL Server data models.
- Competency in data quality analysis and remediation.
- Understanding of data migration processes and best practices.
- Solid understanding of data architecture principles.
- Ability to engage non-technical users and stakeholders.
Desired Skills:
- Familiarity with Central Square ERP system.
- Experience with Python and/or Shell scripts for data migration and ETL/ELT processes.
- Oracle Certified Professional or similar certification.
- Experience with Oracle ERP Cloud offerings and related migration tools.
- Proficiency in SQL querying and ETL/ELT solutions.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, or related field (Master’s degree desirable).
- Five years of experience in planning, designing, and implementing major computer systems and databases, including two years as a Systems Analyst II.
Salary : $50 - $70
