We’re seeking a Senior Database Administrator to join our growing technology team. In this role, you'll be a key contributor to the stability, performance, and scalability of our enterprise-grade database infrastructure—with a strong emphasis on MariaDB systems. This is a great opportunity to leverage your expertise in relational database architecture, troubleshooting, and performance tuning in a Linux-based environment, while contributing to high-availability solutions and enterprise growth.
✅ What You'll Do:
- Ensure optimal performance, availability, and scalability of MariaDB and Oracle environments
- Lead performance tuning, query optimization, and troubleshooting for production databases
- Manage backup and recovery strategies and enforce data integrity protocols
- Implement high-availability architectures and replication strategies
- Use enterprise monitoring tools (e.g., SQL Diagnostic Manager for MySQL, Oracle Enterprise Manager) to track performance and proactively resolve issues
- Work closely with development and DevOps teams to support CI/CD pipelines and database automation
- Support cloud migration and modernization efforts as we scale our platform
🎓 Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline
- 5 years of hands-on experience with MariaDB in a production environment
- 3 years of Oracle experience (basic support or transition knowledge preferred)
- Deep understanding of relational database principles, performance tuning, and troubleshooting
- Proficient with Linux OS and shell scripting for automation and administration
- Strong understanding of backup and recovery concepts
- Familiarity with enterprise monitoring tools
- Experience with high availability architectures (e.g., replication, clustering)
