Position: Environmental Driller Assistant
Vista is looking for motivated drill rig assistants to join our geotechnical and environmental drilling team. Candidate must be ready to work with a go-getting team. Compensation:
· Full Time Hourly position
· Hourly rate $20-$30 per hour based on experience
· 50 hours per week anticipated on average, 1.5x hourly rate for overtime

Primary job duties include:
· Operate Environmental and Geotechnical Drilling Rigs
· Drive commercial vehicles and equipment to/from job sites.
· Soil, groundwater, & soil gas sampling using direct-push and auger tooling
· Logs soils and document site activities
· Support Remediation Injections for ground water remediation
· Monitor well installation
· Maintain, trouble shoot, & repair equipment and vehicles
· Use portable lab instruments for monitoring and safety
· Work collaboratively as a team with clients on site
· Complete daily job summary and field note forms
· Write Data Summary and Analysis Reports for projects
· Generate location, contour, and other data maps for projects
Required Qualifications:
· High school diploma or equivalent
· Pass pre-employment drug and alcohol test
· Pass background check
· Pass DOT & OSHA HAZWOPER medical physical
· Pass Respirator Fit Test
· Travel both in and out of state; potentially for a duration of 3-weeks at a time
· A Current Driver’s License and acceptable driving record is required.
· Ability to work & communicate with team members & clients.
· Must be 21 years to drive commercial vehicles
Preferred Qualifications (a plus!):
· Geoprobe Drill Rig Operator or Assistant Experience
· Commercial Driver’s License (Class A CDL)
· OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER Certification
· MSHA Certification
· Experience using Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, etc.)
· Experience with Mapping and Modeling software (Surfer, Voxler, etc.)
· Mechanical, fabrication, welding skills
· Military experience a plus!
