What are the responsibilities and job description for the Refurb Technician position at Vista Grande Villa?
Vista Grande Villa is seeking experienced Refurbishment Technicians that take pride in their work and strive for excellence. This person will be responsible for maintaining all refurbishments of the physical community; conducting preventative maintenance, routine servicing, light plumbing, minor electrical and painting as needed.
Responsibilities:
· Performs all carpentry related duties, i.e. painting, minor electrical, patching drywall, fixture adjustments, and moving furniture/equipment.
· Work with outside contractors to ensure the timeliness and quality of work is being performed.
· Performs routine preventive maintenance.
· Assists with snow removal efforts and outside grounds/property work as needed.
· Completes work order request within the time frame assigned by supervisors.
· Work closely with marketing to meet deadlines and provide detailed instruction of quality or workmanship of finished product that meet customer expectations.
· Maintain accurate inventory of supplies and report needs timely.
· Maintain and support security of the facility and its occupants.
· All work is to be performed in a professional manner, including high quality work practices, safety, neatness, thoroughness, follow up and clean up.
· Works cooperatively with staff from all departments. Intense cooperation and strong team work effort is necessary with co-workers in the department and in other departments.
· Must be committed to providing excellent customer service and to Vista Grande Villa’s Standard of Performance.
Qualifications:
· Two years general carpentry experience necessary with emphasis in residential and apartment construction, maintenance and refurbishment.
· High School Diploma or Equivalent
· Technical Schooling and/or background preferred
· Ability to understand and follow work instructions
· Strong interpersonal skills required
· Attendance and Punctuality is a must
· Must clear pre-employment screen, i.e. background/drug screen
