What are the responsibilities and job description for the PAYROLL TECHNICIAN - TEMPORARY position at Vista Hill Foundation?
POSITION
The Payroll Technician is responsible for the preparation of bi-weekly payroll, maintenance of accounting records and processing of data in computerized system. Coordinates with Human Resources on changes and updates of employees' information before the preparation of each bi-weekly payroll. An example of tasks include :
- Prepare bi-weekly payroll based on a predetermined payroll schedule.
- Distribute paychecks on predetermined dates.
- Reconciles and transmits bi-weekly pension contributions and 403b deductions.
- Prepare Quarterly Labor reports in accordance with State requirements and deadlines.
- Post payroll information to accounting reports.
- Prepare payroll tax summaries.
- Prepare monthly Workers Comp Report.
- Reconcile employee benefits.
- Print and distribute bi-weekly Position Control Reports to Staff Accountants and Program Directors
- Prepares non-confidential payroll reports as required by Staff Accountants.
- Run system reports when assigned.
- Other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS
HOURS
30 hour per week between the times of 8am and 5pm, Monday - Friday.
This is a temp position that may become temp-to-hire full time at 40 hours per week.
23 per hour
This is a starting rate and may be adjusted up based on education and experience.
Current Vista Hill employees in this job title for 2025 are paid $23 - $26 an hour.
BENEFITS
Employees working at least 30 hours a week receive employer-paid benefits, including medical, dental, vision, paid time off (vacation and sick leave), paid holidays, employer-paid retirement contribution and clinical supervision (if applicable). Some programs qualify for student loan forgiveness programs.
Employees who work less than 30 hours a week do not qualify for healthcare benefits.
