PROGRAMSubstance Use Disorder Services (SUDS) is a program designed to provide assistance to teens under probation supervision. Teens may be experimenting or using alcohol or drugs, but have no previous history or treatment experience. This position works as a partner with the Juvenile Probation Department. Work may be done at Probation offices, an assigned courthouse or meeting with clients in the community.POSITIONProvide case management for an active caseload of twenty-five to thirty (25-30) youth / wards and interfacing between Juvenile Probation Department and the Community Adolescent Treatment Programs, in the establishment of ancillary client services. The SUD Case Manager is responsible for assessment, intervention plan development, and referral services. Conduct observed collection of urine samples for testing, follow-up and monitor youth / wards cases while enrolled in SUDS. Conduct ongoing home, school and treatment program visits with youth / ward, family, treatment providers and school teachers. Participate in the team meetings, compile and report monthly progress reports to Probation. Maintain case files on all participants. Enter data in the PCMS database and provide end of the month stats to the data entry / admin staff.REQUIREMENTS
- Registered or Certified chemical dependency counselor in the state of California and one year of experience working with SUD clients
- Must offer certain linguistic, gender, cultural and ethnic specific skills : must be able to work with culturally diverse population.
- Must be free of parole and probation for a period specified by program contract.
- Must have a valid California driver's license and a clean driving record.
- Ability to pass a background check, TB, and drug screen, .
- Bilingual English / Spanish preferred.HOURSMonday - Friday, 8am - 4 : 30pm.PAYRegistered $21.50 per hourCertified $24.00 per hourThese are starting rates and may be adjusted up based on education and experience.Current Vista Hill employees in these job titles for 2024 are paid : $21.50 - $27 for Registered; and$24.5 - $29.5 for CertifiedBENEFITSEmployees working over 30 hours a week receive employer-paid benefits, including medical, dental, vision, paid time off (vacation and sick leave), paid holidays, employer-paid retirement contribution and clinical supervision (if applicable).
