Responsibilities
- Communicating with patients: Dental billers contact patients to request payment or provide payment reminders
- Communicating with insurance companies: Dental billers negotiate reimbursement for claims with insurance companies
- Researching insurance plans: Dental billers research insurance plans to determine covered services, reimbursements, and out-of-pocket costs
- Submitting claims: Dental billers submit claims to insurance companies using software programs or by mail
- Posting payments: Dental billers post payments to patient accounts
- Documenting information: Dental billers document treatment plans, insurance, payment, and patient information
- Strong customer service skills
- Previous experience with medical coding or billing desired
- Strong organization skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Dental assisting experience is a plus
Salary : $10 - $14
