POSITION TITLE : Director of Sales
REPORTS TO : General Manager / Area Director of Sales / VP of Sales & Marketing
POSITION SUMMARY :
The Director of Sales is a dynamic, , outgoing sales professional that recognizes the importance of direct selling, relationships, outside sales calls, effective prospecting, internet marketing strategies, community involvement, civic responsibilities and integration with operations. Revenue Management experience and expertise complement all strong candidates. The successful candidate will be a results-oriented sales professional with hotel sales experience.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Hotel leadership; including developing and executing strategic and proactive direct sales efforts.
- Work with the team on developing and executing a strong pricing and revenue management program.
- Meet or exceed top-line revenue and RevPAR Index goals
- Direct Sales
- Motivate, evaluate, and review sales personnel; communicate company goals and objectives.
- Manage all aspects of the sales and marketing division.
- Provide the strategic vision for maximum hotel sales generation and optimal revenue growth.
- Lead talented sales teams that makes the vision reality. Create an environment energized by the art of the possible, where talented, win-driven professionals are excited to join, learn, exceed their best, and advance. Lead by modeling the way, by empowering, and coaching throughout the employment lifecycle.
- Effectively channel knowledge of the competitive landscape. Assess the effectiveness of company programs to determine optimum revenues using Vista Host system reports and market data, in order to innovate.
- Forge relationships and build rapport. Cultivate, enhance and leverage external and internal relationships to elevate hotel and market share awareness and drive business.
- Provide sales training and development for all front desk personnel to ensure all guest inquiries and needs are consistently executed.
- Manage the departmental budget and monitor sales activities / performance to ensure actual sales meet or exceed established revenue plan; accurately report variances / projections.
- Provide a professional image at all times through appearance and dress.
