What are the responsibilities and job description for the Temporary Summer Staff - Human Services position at Vista Life Innovations?
We are seeking Temporary Staff to work during the summer months in our life skills program areas along the CT shoreline from Madison, CT to Old Saybrook, CT.
This is a fantastic opportunity for college students seeking experience in Education/Instruction, Human Services, Occupational Therapy, or Social Work, as well as teachers or paraprofessionals looking for summer work. It’s also ideal for those looking to expand their knowledge or experience working with individuals with disabilities.
Temporary Summer Staff may provide coverage in any/all areas listed below:
- Life Skills Instruction
- Program Instruction
- Recreational and Arts Programming
Requirements for this position include:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- One (1) year of related experience. Examples of experience can be internships, peer groups in school, previous community and/or volunteer experiences or experience with recreation and art.
- Valid Driver’s License with a safe driving record
Job Type/Shift Information: Flexible Shifts, Sunday-Saturday, 7am-7pm. Summer staff are expected to work from late May/early June through mid to late August, providing 20 or more hours of weekly coverage across various shifts. We are happy to discuss your availability and aim to match your schedule with our staffing needs.
Location: Varies, you will work with members who live between Madison, CT and Old Saybrook, CT.
Hourly Rate: $19.50, plus eligible mileage reimbursement
