What are the responsibilities and job description for the Financial Analysts position at VISTA Technology Services?
VISTA Technology Services, Inc. (VISTA) is currently seeking Financial Analysts to support our NAVSEA customer located in Arlington, VA. These are hybrid positions reporting onsite 3-5 days/week.
The ideal candidates will be self-motivated, result-oriented, and have finance and budget experience including tracking, executing, analyzing, and coordinating funding and obligation reports.
Responsibilities
- Provide daily financial management and execution support to NAVSEA program office Business Financial Management (BFM) Team
- Track funding documents, obligations and expenditures using Excel and Navy Enterprise Resource Planning (N-ERP)
- Track Task Planning Sheets (TPS) using Navy Enterprise Planning System (NEPS)
- Assist with developing and tracking Purchase Requests (PRs) using SPS/PD2
- Assist with preparing and tracking annual budgets and Program Objectives Memorandum (POM)
- Assist with financial data calls
- Assist with preparing weekly, monthly financial status reports, briefings and presentations
- Work independently and collaborate with program office team to provide accurate and timely high caliber customer support
- Develop/Utilize knowledge and understanding of FAR and DFAR for DoD ACAT programs and DoD/DoN procedures and policies (DoD 5000 process)
- Build strong working relationships with cross functional teams and field activity offices to collect and report information and data on schedule
Basic Qualifications:
- Active DoD Secret Clearance
- Proficient using MS Office Suite
- Advance MS Excel skills required; Power BI or Tableau preferred
- Must be pro-active, dependable, and detailed oriented
- Experience using N-ERP, Standard Procurement System (SPS/PD2), NAVSEA Enterprise Planning System (NEPS), Program Budget Information System (PBIS), Computer Optimized Batch Reconciliation Application (COBRA) preferred
- Customer-facing program office experience preferred
- Prior experience working in a NAVSEA environment preferred
- Junior Level:
- 0-3 years of finance and budget experience required
- Bachelor’s Degree in business, finance, or accounting preferred
- Mid-Level:
- 4-8 years of finance and budget experience required
- Bachelor’s Degree in business, finance, or accounting preferred
- Senior Level:
- 9-12 years of federal/DoD finance and budget experience required
- Bachelor’s Degree in business, finance, or accounting preferred
This position will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
