What are the responsibilities and job description for the Child And Family Therapist or Trainee in Practicum position at VistAbility?
The Lynn Center is VistAbility's Early Intervention Program and Preschool for children with disabilities from birth to six years of age. Lynn Center also provides therapeutic services for families with children up to age 18. We are looking for a Child / Family Therapist or Trainee in Practicum to provide comprehensive support to children under the age of 18 and their families. This position provides services that include clinical assessments, individual play therapy, family therapy, collateral parent support and case management / linkage. Assessments may be conducted in a variety of settings and can include : the community, the child's home, or our clinic.
Qualifications :
- LCSW or LMFT. Trainees (applicants currently enrolled in graduate program) and Interns (graduates working on clinical hours) are welcome to apply.
- Must have the ability and be willing to provide clinical assessment and intervention services in clinic or in the natural environment (home or school).
- Must be open to a variety of treatment modalities tailored to meet the needs of the individual child / parents / family involved.
- Bilingual in English / Spanish Preferred but not required
