Location: Concord, CA
Hours: Monday - Friday 7.5 hours a day, 37.5 hours per week
8:00am-3:30pm typical schedule (hours may vary)

As a Community Employment Advocate, you'll play a crucial role in our dynamic team, helping individuals achieve their employment goals and gain greater independence. What You'll Do:

  • Be a guide and cheerleader: Lead small groups in diverse activities like volunteer work, job training, and social skills development, all tailored to individual aspirations.
  • Empower through personalized plans: Collaborate with participants to craft schedules and goals that reflect their unique needs and interests.
  • Bridge the gap to employment: Develop essential work-related skills, address identified barriers, and celebrate milestones on the path to meaningful employment.
  • Build strong connections: Foster supportive relationships with participants, families, and community partners to create a network for success.
  • Contribute to a thriving program: Assist with program development, implementation, and review, ensuring its effectiveness in empowering individuals.

Requirements:

  • Two years of experience providing direct services to individuals with disabilities or in other social service settings.
  • One year of experience in a relevant field, such as rehabilitation, retail, or education (preferred).
  • Valid California driver's license and reliable car for work purposes (required).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field (preferred).
