Job Description :
Join our team as a Senior Driver, where you will safely operate a tractor trailer or straight truck to deliver food and related products. You will play a crucial role in ensuring timely deliveries, while complying with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
Your responsibilities include :
- Driving to various destinations, including local, shuttle, overnight, and Over The Road (OTR) routes.
- Mentoring and training new Drivers, Helpers, and Yard Drivers.
- Conducting pre-trip inspections and ensuring your vehicle is in optimal condition.
- Performing thorough checks on loaded items and customer invoices.
- Unloading and delivering products to designated areas while maintaining high standards of service.
- Collecting payments when necessary and documenting all necessary paperwork accurately.
- Completing post-trip inspections and ensuring cleanliness in the cab and loading dock areas.
This role requires strong communication skills as you will be interacting with customers, vendors, and team members professionally.
Qualifications :
Required Education : High School Diploma / GED or Equivalent Experience.
Required Experience : 1 - 2 Years with a Commercial Driver's License Class A (CDL-A), meeting DOT medical requirements.
Preferred Experience : 2 - 4 Years in commercial driving within the foodservice industry, with team lead experience.
