Job Overview
The CDL-A Delivery Driver is a critical role in the food supply chain, ensuring timely and safe delivery of products to customers. Key responsibilities include operating a tractor trailer or straight truck, performing vehicle inspections, and maintaining professional communication with customers and colleagues.
Responsibilities:
- Safety First: Perform pre/post trip safety checks, inspecting the tractor/truck and trailer according to Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
- Deliver Excellence: Drive to and deliver customer orders according to predetermined routes, unload products using electric pallet jacks and lift gates, and verify delivery of items with customers.
- Team Player: Communicate effectively with customers, vendors, and coworkers, providing accurate information and resolving issues promptly.
Qualifications:
- Valid CDL-A license
- 6 months commercial driving experience
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Clean Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) for past 3 years
- Pass post-offer drug test and criminal background check
