The Lead Certified Pharmacy Technician will play a critical role in overseeing the daily operations of the pharmacy. This position ensures the efficient, accurate, and safe preparation of medications, supports the pharmacist team, and leads the technician staff to deliver excellent patient care.
Responsibilities: -
- Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations.
- Oversee inventory management, including ordering, receiving, and stocking supplies.
- Ensure all pharmacy operations adhere to state and federal guidelines, including HIPAA regulations.
- Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues in a professional and timely manner.
- Maintain detailed and accurate records, including prescription data and inventory logs.
- Implement and monitor quality control procedures to ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to pharmacy technicians to enhance team performance.
Qualifications/Skills
- Certification: Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT)
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years as a pharmacy technician; leadership experience preferred.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree preferred.
- Strong knowledge of pharmacy laws, regulations, and medical terminology.
- Exceptional organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
