Job Summary
The Electrical / Controls Design Engineer works with guidance from the supervisor to prepare and present routine reports and occasionally lead routine problem-solving efforts. The position will maintain effective working relationships with others.
Job Description
The Electrical / Controls Design Engineer serves as a member of the Electrical / Instrumentation & Controls Design Engineering Unit at Davis-Besse Nuclear Power Plant. This group serves as the owners of the design and licensing basis for the plant.
Primary Responsibilities include :
- Prepare engineering change packages for modifications to the station, including design drawings, vendor drawings, specifications, and other applicable documents.
- Maintain electrical / instrumentation & controls calculations up to date
- Assist in developing solutions to engineering technical issues in support of plant operation and maintenance
- Prepare technical reports and presentations on engineering technical issues as needed
- Support problem identification and resolution using the Corrective Action Program
- Ensure changes to the design requirements are identified, documented, controlled, evaluated, and approved
- Manage and complete assigned activities to support timely implementation for required plant operations
- Maintain the plant design and licensing basis complying with industry standards and regulations
- Participating in Problem Solving and Decision-Making teams, troubleshooting efforts and developing repair strategies for plant equipment as necessary
- Supporting the Emergency Response Organization
