Job Summary
The eFIN Team is staffed with experienced engineers across a range of mechanical, civil, electrical, and I&C disciplines, and generally serves as the initial point of contact for all emergent and near-term engineering support.
This position can work independently to identify and perform tasks as required to meet objectives. The position will establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.
This position requires extensive knowledge in mechanical design engineering and the following areas of expertise : rotating equipment, turbine design and controls, diesels, motors and pumps.
Job Description
Key Accountabilities :
- Protect work week schedule by supporting resolution of emergent, short cycle, and near-term engineering work
- Engineering point of contact for execution of online work week schedule and resolution of online Engineering Holds
- Engineering support of Operability process (Input to Operability, Prompt Operability Evaluations)
- Engineering post work testing
- Engineering technical support for PROMPT Team Maintenance
- Engineering technical support for resolving operating challenges
- Planning support for emergent questions and assistance to in-field activities
- Emergent complex troubleshooting support (FMEA, Confirm / Refute, etc).
- Need to be physically able to perform walkdowns requiring use of stairs and ladders.
- Prepare Minor Design Modifications
- Identify and perform tasks as required to meet objectives
- Lead interpretation and analysis of complex issues
- Coordinates assigned projects, studies and initiatives through completion
- Comply with safety policy and procedures to ensure a safe working environment
- Prepare and present reports including recommendations to resolve complex issues
- Participate in and on occasion lead special projects and committees
- Lead complex problem-solving efforts
- All other duties as assigned.
