Program Instructor

Visual Adjectives SEEDS seeks a dynamic part-time after-school Program Instructor to teach students. The Program Instructor is responsible for coordinating program enrollment and administering an art, literacy, writing, and/or production program in Palm Beach County.

The ideal candidate will be a passionate educator interested in helping students develop skills and promoting education.

Hours are typically Monday - Thursday, between 2:45 pm – 6:00 pm, with some flexibility as needed.

SALARY: $30 an hour

Responsibilities:

·        Provides direct supervision of students.

·        Ensures the safety and security of students (including, but not limited to, unauthorized visitation, authorized release of students, and accident reports).

·        Implement emergency evacuation procedures and first aid when necessary.

·        Takes attendance, distributes snacks, assists with homework completion, and oversees the use of facilities, materials, and equipment.

·        Documents students’ accidents and injuries and completes accident reports.

·        Enforces after-school program discipline codes. Identify student misconduct and complete incident reports.

·        Assists in keeping facilities neat and clean.

·        Coordinate and oversee afterschool programs and activities.

·        Maintains accurate attendance records.

·        Maintains professionalism regarding school affairs.

·        Implement program goals, objectives, and strategies.

·        Monitor program and ensure adherence to guidelines.

·        Collaborate with team members to progress program policies and procedures.

·        Provide guidance and support to program students.

·        Evaluate program effectiveness and make recommendations for improvement.

·        Maintain accurate records and documentation of program activities.

·        Performs other duties as assigned.
