Summary
We are seeking a skilled Screen Printer to join our dynamic team. The Screen Printing Operator plays a crucial role in the production process specifically focusing on the creation of high-quality printed materials. The operator will be responsible for setting up screens, mixing inks, and executing print runs efficiently. Attention to detail is essential, as the operator is responsible for inspecting finished products for accuracy and quality.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for printing designs on various types of materials.
- Reviewing work orders to determine required settings, types and color of designs to print.
- Adjusts position of design or screen to ensure specified color print registration.
- Using direct emulsion for screen coding.
- Screen exposure.
- Examines printed material for defects such as smears or uneven color variations.
- Observes the printing equipment to detect any machine or equipment malfunction and moves to correct the issues.
- Assist with basic machine maintenance and troubleshooting as needed.
- Measures, centers, and positions screen, using gauge and hand tools.
- Keep work area organized, clean, and compliant with safety standards.
- Assist in inventory management of printing supplies and materials as needed.
- Contribute ideas for process improvements to enhance efficiency and quality
Qualifications
- High School Diploma / GED
- Proven experience in screen printing or a related field
- Experience with machine set-up semi automatic Daytona Press.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality results.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues effectively.
- Experience in color matching a plus.
- Knowledge of production processes and techniques related to screen printing is a plus.
- Candidates must be available to work a Monday – Friday 7:00am – 3:30pm schedule with possible overtime throughout the week and some Saturdays.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $17.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
