Vita Nova is looking for an energetic, compassionate, and driven individual to serve as Supervisor, Community Services at the Spot drop-in center to help homeless youth (ages 18-25) develop the necessary skills and access appropriate resources to achieve independence and live healthy, productive lives.
JOB SUMMARY:
The Spot Supervisor, Community Services is a mid-level leadership position that assists with the overall management and operations of Vita Nova Inc's (VNI's) the Spot drop-in center programs and services. This includes oversight of the case management team, developing and implementing program policies and procedures to achieve program outcomes, and ensuring compliance with all program protocols and relevant local, state, and federal regulations. The Supervisor will assist the Director of Community Services in data tracking and the preparation and submission of program reports in accordance with all grants, contracts, and agency strategic plan requirements, or as otherwise requested by VNI leadership.
Advanced organizational skills, proficiency in basic computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite, and an ability to work effectively with a variety of stakeholders are required. The ideal candidate has a background in case management with a strong understanding of the homeless services system, or an ability to quickly develop this understanding upon hire.
The Supervisor works onsite, primarily at VNI's the Spot, with the ability to travel to and from other VNI campus and client locations frequently. The Supervisor must be available weekdays 9am-5pm with some evening and weekend work required to meet the needs of the agency.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist with leadership and general supervision over the day-to-day operations of the Spot programs, services, and team members.
- Facilitate ongoing data tracking and support team members in maintaining accurate documentation with timely submission to CoC, partner agency, and internal data reporting systems.
- Provide ongoing guidance and one-to-one supervision to assigned team members, ensuring compliance with program and contract requirements, agency policies and procedures, and all relevant rules and regulations.
- Complete timely performance evaluations for assigned team members.
- Conduct ongoing case file reviews to ensure program compliance and quality service delivery, monitoring participant progress, and supporting team members in addressing any concerns.
- Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with industry best practices.
- Deliver and/or help coordinate training to team members.
- Develop, coordinate, and implement Spot programs and services for youth experiencing homelessness.
- Represent Vita Nova in the community by actively participating in committees, CoC Case Conferencing, and development activities to create awareness and secure youth resources.
- Identify, build, and maintain partnerships with stakeholders that will benefit our Drop-in Center services and disconnected youth.

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum of bachelor's degree in social services or a related field.
- 3 years of related work experience, including case management and supervision, preferably in a human services/housing non-profit organization.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent written communication and organizational skills
- The ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Able to complete tasks accurately and timely with minimal supervision.
- Must have a valid Florida driver's license, reliable transportation, and ability to be added to company insurance policy.
- Must be able to pass a Level 2 Background check and drug screen.
- Ability to quickly achieve working knowledge of CMIS Data Standards and housing funding programs including HUD, RRH, and RHY.
