Vitakraft Sun Seed, Inc. has an immediate opening for an Industrial Maintenance Technician to join our team. The Industrial Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairing industrial machinery and equipment to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable operations. The technician will work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, supporting production by minimizing downtime and maintaining optimal equipment performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs on industrial machinery and equipment, including but not limited to conveyors, pumps, motors, HVAC systems, and electrical systems.
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems to identify and resolve issues quickly.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical manuals, and schematics to ensure proper repair and maintenance procedures are followed.
- Monitor equipment performance and make recommendations for improvements or upgrades to enhance efficiency and longevity.
- Perform emergency repairs on machinery and equipment, ensuring minimal disruption to production operations.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections, following company standards and safety protocols.
- Assist in the installation, calibration, and alignment of new equipment.
- Work closely with the production team to identify potential problems and recommend solutions to optimize equipment performance.
- Follow and uphold Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) at all times, ensuring that maintenance activities are conducted in compliance with company and industry standards.
- Follow all safety procedures, maintain a clean and safe work environment, and ensure compliance with OSHA and company safety standards.
- Complete other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Maintenance Supervisor to ensure efficient operation of the facility.
- Participate in training sessions and stay up to date on the latest industrial maintenance techniques and technologies.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or degree in Industrial Maintenance, Mechanical, Electrical, or related field preferred.
- 3- 5 years of industrial maintenance experience or similar manufacturing or industrial environment experience.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
- Proficient in the use of hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team with minimal supervision.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with team members.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including overtime, weekends, or on-call as needed.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy objects and work in physically demanding conditions.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers) and other automation systems.
- Familiarity with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
- Welding and fabrication experience.
- Forklift certification.
Rate of $31/hr-$35/hr
