KNOWLEDGEABLE IN MEDICAL TERMINOLOGY AND ANATOMY AND PHYSIOLOGY, ICD-10 CODING AND HCPCS CODING. PATIENT DEMOGRAPHICS TO INCLUDE INSURANCE VERIFICATION, BILLING AMBULANCE CLAIMS TO THE CORRECT PAYER, QUALITY ASSURANCE, CLERICAL DUTIES TO INCLUDE FILING BOTH PAPER AND ELECTRONIC, WORKING CLOSELY WITH DISPATCH AND CREWS TO ENSURE ACCURATE DOCUMENTATION ON CLAIMS, ABILITY TO EFFECTIVELY COMMUNICATE WITH NURSING HOME STAFF TO OBTAIN NECESSARY INFORMATION. ABILITY TO MULTI-TASK AND WORK INDEPENDENTLY IN HIGH CLAIM VOLUME CAPACITY. EXCELLENT ATTENTION TO DETAIL, ORGANIZATIONAL SKILLS, EFFECTIVE COMMUNICATION SKILLS, WILLINGNESS TO LEARN. EXPERIENCE WITH CLAIM DENIALS AND APPEALS IS A PLUS. CPC OR RHIT PREFERRED BUT NOT REQUIRED. AT LEAST ONE YEAR EXPERIENCE WITH MEDICARE, MEDICAID ADVANTAGE PLANS,BLUE CROSS BLUE SHEILD, TRICARE. EXPERIENCE WITH EOBs, POSTING PAYMENTS, CLAIMS STATUS AND DENIALS, APPEALS. PRE AUTH EXPERIENCE PREFERRED BUT NOT NECESSARY. QUICK LEARNER, SELF STARTER. WE WILL TRAIN IN AMBULANCE BILLING AND CODING AS WELL AS PROVIDE ONLINE COURSES TO BECOME CERTIFIED IN AMBULANCE CODING (CERTIFICATION THROUGH NAAC). PAY IS NEGOTIABLE BASED ON EXPERIENCE WITH THE POSSIBILITY OF PAY RAISE AFTER THE FIRST 30 DAYS OF TRAINING
