Pharmacy Operations Technician

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Certified Pharmacy Technician to join our healthcare team. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting pharmacists in providing high-quality pharmaceutical care to patients in an outpatient setting. Your expertise will contribute to the safe and effective administration of medications, ensuring optimal patient outcomes.

Duties

• Prepare and dispense medications under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
• Assist in IV infusion preparation and medication administration for patients requiring chronic and acute care.
• Maintain accurate patient records and medication profiles, ensuring compliance with medical terminology and pharmacy regulations.
• Submitting prior authorizations and approvals for medications.
• Maintaining compliance with CH 797.
• Provide exceptional patient service by answering questions and addressing concerns regarding medications and treatments.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to support critical care initiatives and improve patient care outcomes.
• Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the pharmacy area, adhering to safety protocols.
• Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay current with pharmacy practices.

Experience

• Certification as a Pharmacy Technician is required.
• Previous experience in an acute care or hospital pharmacy setting is preferred.
• Familiarity with IV infusion processes and medication administration techniques is advantageous.
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology related to pharmaceuticals and patient care.
• Excellent communication skills, with a focus on providing outstanding patient service.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $18.00 - $22.72 per hour

Expected hours: 24 per week
