We are seeking a Certified Pharmacy Technician to join our team in a hospital setting. The ideal candidate will have experience in IV infusion, aseptic technique, and patient care, with a strong background in acute and critical care pharmacy.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and dispense medication under the supervision of a pharmacist
- Utilize IV infusion skills to prepare intravenous medications
- Maintain accurate patient records and profiles
- Assist pharmacists with inventory management and medication reconciliation
- Provide excellent customer service to patients and healthcare providers
- Work collaboratively with healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes

Responsibilities
- As a core member of the Pharmacy team, you will be expected to prepare technical and clerical tasks associated with the preparation, labeling and dispensing of pharmaceuticals
- As a Compounding Pharmacy Technician, you will:
- Coordinate and schedule the preparation of sterile admixtures orders with the assistance of the Pharmacist
- Complete all calculations on product preparation and obtain validation from the Pharmacist before compounding/mixing
- Compound sterile admixtures and non-admixtures, using aseptic technique where state laws permit
- Prepare labels, prescriptions and compounding/mixing worksheets and complete and maintain product lot numbers, expiration dates and batch records
- Generate delivery/pick slips under the supervision of the Pharmacist
- Pick and pull supplies
- Ensure compounding/clean room areas and related equipment are cleaned, sanitized and maintained in compliance with company policies and procedures
- Obtain supply inventories form patients/clients and communicate information obtained to the Pharmacist as required
- Participate in branch management, department and intra-departmental meetings and quality improvement activities
- Adhere to all accreditation, OSHA, FDA, state, local and federal regulations and standards relevant to infusion pharmacy
