The Consultant will assist with providing Customer Care from Sale to inspection. ESSENTIAL ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- This is an outside sales position with flexibility for virtual consultations via video or phone, as needed or requested.
- Your primary function is to meet with 6-12 pre-scheduled and pre-screened customers per week at their homes. Educate customers about energy efficiency, optimal practices, and the benefits of renewable energy solutions. Conduct site surveys using Sales Survey forms to tailor proposals to the customer's home specific requirements. Prepare and present a comprehensive preliminary proposal. After the initial site visit, meet with the Installation/Tech Team for any questions you have about the project, send a final proposal to the client with further details gathered during the inspection. Follow up weekly by phone and email to provide additional educational resources, answer questions, and finalize the sale.
- Send all Final proposals virtually to the client using the proposal tool and offer to walk them through a screen share of the proposal together to ensure clarity and answer any questions they may have.
- Site Surveys: Document (photos, sketches, notes) all relevant field data on our site survey forms to properly estimate and complete the job (site logistics, measurements, energy requirements, existing electrical equipment, access, etc.).
- Create clear and accurate financial estimates for installations, detailing all equipment and specialties to be used, and provide comprehensive notes for the installation team to ensure a smooth and efficient installation process.
- Once sale is complete, upload required sales notes to CRM along with additional supporting documents and photos to ensure all necessary information is documented and accessible for the installation and project management teams.
- Maintain and update CRM and systems daily with customer communications, status, and documents, collaborating with your sales coordinator.
- Ensure a smooth transition of post-sale activity to the Project Management team.
- Collaborate closely with Sales Coordinators and coworkers to ensure outstanding customer service, aligning with the company’s goals and reputation.
- Manage the pipeline of activity from Lead to Install by tracking and following up with all leads and consultations, in collaboration with Sales Coordinators. Maintain flexibility and drive to resurrect “cold” leads when time allows.
- Build quality, professional, and personable relationships with prospects, customers, and the community.
- Network and attend community events within the local area to build lasting connections.
- Attend sales educational events and seminars to stay updated with the latest sales, industry, and product trends and best practices.
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
- Personable, extremely reliable, and takes great pride in work.
- Proven successful track record in sales and/or lead generation with verifiable metrics and references, preferably in fast-paced, high-volume sales environments.
- In-home sales experience and knowledge of the construction industry. Experience with generators, solar design, HVAC, or home improvement is preferred.
- Service-oriented with a proactive, positive attitude and a commitment to providing the best customer experience.
- Ability to multitask and manage up to a high volume lead portfolio. Answer inquiries and questions timely and professionally.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented with a strong work ethic, integrity, and excellent follow-through skills.
- Technology-friendly with familiarity with cloud-based office systems, including G Suite, CRMs, scheduling systems, DocuSign, Screen shares/Virtual Meetings, etc.
- Must be able to spend approximately 70-80% of work time traveling to job sites within your territory.
- Must be able to work in a virtual environment when needed, including conducting sales presentations by phone and video call/screen share. Must have home internet and Wi-Fi access. Company-provided laptops, phones, or equipment as needed.
- Must be available to work and respond to customer inquiries during nights, weekends, and some holidays.
- Ability to communicate and partner cross-functionally with sales, engineering, technical support, project management, service, and field teams to address customer needs.
- Must maintain a clean driving record and have the ability to drive a personal or company vehicle during the normal course of business. Mileage reimbursement provided.
- Must be 21 years of age, possess a valid driver's license, and pass a background check.

- Competitive salary plus commission, dependent on experience. Includes generous starting draw salary.
