Title: Gage Crib Attendant – Sterling Heights, MI
Job Description: A detail oriented and organized individual to join our company as a Gage Crib Attendant in our Quality Department. This is a full-time position. Gage Crib Attendant is responsible for keeping track of and maintaining calibration of shop gages, inspecting when necessary, and ensuring gages meet blueprint requirements.

Responsibilities:
- Daily calibration of shop gages (micrometers, calipers, pin gages, thread gages, swing gages, etc)
- Set up and/calibrate milling kits
- Turning gages to meet manufacturing demand
- Inpect designed gages to blueprint requirements
- Fixture inspection when needed
- Coordinate outside service calibrations and maintain certification documents
- Dimensional and final inspection of cases
- In-process floor inspections
- Maintain and organize tool area
- Support inspectors with all FAI documentation
- Inspect and log all incoming gage equipment
Qualifications:
- Must have excellent communication skills, be able to pass the necessary information to department managers.
- Must show ability to be detail oriented, organized, and follow directions.
- Must be able to work in a team environment, as well as working independently.
- Must always exhibit a high level of flexibility and an ability to multi-task.
- Must be able to work with little or no supervision.
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in equal or related field is required
- Experience with inventory and ordering parts
- Ability to freely travel throughout a manufacturing floor environment
- Some lifting and carrying of small loads may be required
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Candidates must be at least 18 years of age and possess a High School diploma or equivalent
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
