Title: Operations Manager – Sterling Heights, MI
Job Description: A detail-oriented and organized individual to join our company as an Operations Manager in our Production Department. This is a full-time position. The Operations Manager will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of a business, optimizing processes, managing resources, ensuring quality control, developing strategies, and leading teams to achieve organizational goals.

Responsibilities:
- Leadership & Management: Lead and manage the operations team, including production supervisors, technicians, and support staff. Foster a culture of continuous improvement and teamwork.
- Production Planning: Develop and implement production schedules to meet customer demands while optimizing resource utilization. Monitor production processes to ensure timely and efficient manufacturing.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure that all products meet stringent quality standards. Collaborate with the quality control team to address any issues and implement corrective actions.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost reductions. Implement lean manufacturing principles to enhance productivity and efficiency.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with all industry regulations, safety standards, and company policies. Conduct regular audits and inspections to maintain a safe and compliant work environment.
- Inventory Management: Oversee inventory levels, including raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods. Implement inventory control measures to minimize waste and reduce costs.
- Budgeting & Cost Control: Develop and manage the operations budget. Monitor expenses and implement cost-saving initiatives without compromising quality or efficiency.
- Vendor & Supplier Management: Manage relationships with key vendors and suppliers. Negotiate contracts and ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
- Reporting & Analysis: Prepare regular reports on operational performance, including production metrics, quality indicators, and financial performance. Use data-driven insights to make informed decisions.
- One Production Supervisor reports to this role.
- 35 employees report to the Production Supervisor
- 1st shift runs from 6:30am - 3pm
- 2nd shift runs from 3pm - 11:30pm
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in operations management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 3-5 years’ experience in operations management
- Proven experience within the aviation or aerospace manufacturing industry.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- In-depth knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Familiarity with industry regulations and compliance standards.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in using operations management software and tools.
- Must have a valid US Passport
