• Minimum of three years managerial experience in the clinical laboratory of an acute care hospital (in non-waived testing)
• MT (ASCP) required

The Director of Laboratory plays a pivotal role in overseeing and managing all laboratory operations within an organization. This leadership position is critical to ensuring that the laboratory delivers accurate and timely results while maintaining compliance with industry regulations and standards. The Director is responsible for strategic planning, budget management, and ensuring that the laboratory is equipped with the latest technologies and methodologies. Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily laboratory operations and workflow.

Required Qualifications

• Master's degree in a relevant scientific field; Ph.D. preferred.
• A minimum of 10 years of experience in a laboratory setting.
• 5 years of management or leadership experience.
• Strong understanding of laboratory operations and regulatory compliance.
• Proven experience with quality control and quality assurance processes.
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Familiarity with laboratory information management systems (LIMS).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience in budget management and financial planning.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Strong technical skills related to laboratory instrumentation.
• Experience implementing process improvements and best practices.
