Job Summary

This role will primarily involve equipment related to filling, capping, labeling, inspection, and advanced material handling functionalities. The Automation Engineer will collaborate with various teams during installation, commissioning, and validation of automated equipment, ensuring operational excellence and technical support for complex systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Automation Support: Partner with the Client Automation Engineering team during the installation and commissioning of automated equipment in the Hebron, KY manufacturing facility. Technical Expertise: Provide technical support for PLC controls, HMIs, vision systems, servo control, and overall equipment automation to technical operations and validation teams.
- Equipment Debugging: Work with contracted equipment suppliers on-site and remotely to debug and make software or configuration improvements.
- Subject Matter Expert (SME): Become the on-site SME for the functional setup and operation of commissioned equipment.
- Training & Support: Provide technical training and guidance to operators when required.
- Allen Bradley, Studio 5000 PLC programming experience.
- Experience with electromechanical systems, including AC & DC motor drives, servo motors, HMIs, I/O hardware, and machine safety.
- Hands-on experience with equipment line debugging and providing on-site installation and training.
- Ability to be on-site at the BEC Hebron, KY facility for 75% of the time during installation, commissioning, and validation support.
- Experience with software platforms such as Cognex InSight, FactoryTalk View SE, and AutoCAD.
- Experience leading and managing a team during debug and commissioning.
