Job Summary
- We seek a meticulous, thorough, and organized Construction Project Manager Estimator to join our growing team in the Department of Transportation division. Your primary responsibilities will be project management functions, accurate cost estimates, research products, report preparation, and forecast monitoring. You will also oversee communications with your clients and conduct risk assessments.
- To be successful in this position, you need to be analytically minded and a great problem solver. We are seeking applicants with excellent communication and people skills. Additionally, you need to have strong organizational and time management skills.
- Minimum education level of a bachelor’s degree in construction management, civil engineering, or a related field
- The ideal candidate will have at least 3-5 years of experience in bridge and road construction estimation and be knowledgeable of project management principles.
- Understanding of construction methods, materials, and costs
- Ability to read and interpret construction plans, blueprints, and specifications.
- Ability to budget, schedule, negotiate, and control costs.
- A high degree of familiarity with contract and subcontract documents, terms, and conditions
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Experience with Self-Performing or Specialty Contractor
- Experience in sales/marketing a plus.
- Strong leadership and management skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Software- Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- Proficient in project management software (Procore, Bluebeam)
- As a Project Manager Estimator, the employee will be subject to an office and job site/field setting. Work environments may include but are not limited to the following: seasonal temperatures, high spaces, small spaces, loud and frequent noises, standing/walking and indoor/outdoor settings.
