As a Lead Painter, you will be responsible for ensuring high-quality finishes while maintaining safety standards and project timelines.
Duties
- Oversee and coordinate painting projects, ensuring they are completed on time and to specifications.
- Utilize color theory to select appropriate paint colors and finishes for various surfaces.
- Perform both commercial and residential painting tasks, including surface preparation, priming, and applying paint.
- Maintain tools and equipment, ensuring they are in good working condition for optimal performance.
- Collaborate with carpenters for fixture installation and other related tasks as needed.
- Read and interpret schematics to understand project requirements and specifications.
- Train and mentor junior painters on best practices, safety protocols, and techniques.
- Conduct quality checks on completed work to ensure it meets company standards.
Experience
- Proven experience in commercial and residential painting is essential.
- Familiarity with color theory and its application in various projects.
- Proficient in the use of power tools related to painting tasks.
- Basic math skills for accurate measurements and calculations during projects.
- Experience in fixture installation is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
