What are the responsibilities and job description for the Commercial Drivers License position at Vital Signs?
We are currently seeking a Local Class A CDL driver to join our organization based out of our Elko/Battle Mountain Location. This position will be responsible for operating tractor with end dump trailer while directly interacting with the Nevada Gold Mines. Assisting with loading and unloading may be required. This will be a local delivery service with a typical last 8-10 hours per day. Home every night and weekends! Very flexible hours 40 per week.
Job Responsibilities:
- Pickup and delivery tasks with customer service as a constant priority.
- Load and Unload grinding ball media for the mines.
- Operate an End Dump tractor/trailer
- Operate a Material Handler
- Responsible for securing all loads.
- Responsible for keeping equipment clean and road worthy.
- Responsible for following all local and federal regulations for transportation.
- Uniforms are provided and it is the driver's responsibility to present a clean and friendly appearance to our customers.
- Responsible for timely, understandable, legible and accurate paperwork.
Minimum Job Qualifications:
- Knowledge of DOT reports and regulations.
- A positive attitude and be able to work independently
- Must be courteous and patient on the road, at the customers and at our locations
- Ability to provide quality customer service.
- 1-2 years supervisory experience helpful
- 1-2 years of Class A Driving Experience.
- Excellent Interpersonal skills.
- Effective written communication skills and ability to complete paperwork promptly.
- Analytical and Problem solving skills.
- Must present themselves in a professional manner at all times.
- Must be physically able to climb into trucks and onto trailers and rail cars.
- Must be able to pass background check along with drug and alcohol testing.
- Must be able to understand and follow all transportation regulations.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be physically able to climb into trucks and onto trailers and rail cars.
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds repetitively.
